Climate in the Bisenzio valley
Summers here are hot and close, much as in Florence, so lawn, voile or linen cut loose is the most comfortable choice. Winters are cool and damp rather than harsh, and a cambric or light khaddar kameez with full sleeves, or a lined lawn suit with a shawl, covers most days.
From Prato to Pakistan and back
Stitching Only has two shipping stages. First, once we have confirmed your fabric and agreed the arrangements, you send it to us in Pakistan with a tracked courier you book, declaring the contents honestly. Then, after we have cut and stitched it in 5 to 7 working days, the finished outfit comes back to Prato as a separate shipment, with delivery and any import charges included in your quote. Prato questions
Can you stitch wool or a wool blend?
Often, yes, subject to fabric suitability and sufficient quantity. Send daylight photos, the length and the fibre content if you know it, and we confirm whether it suits your design before you post anything.
Is the stitching done in Prato?
No. All cutting and stitching is done in Pakistan. There is no shop, studio or tailor in Prato or anywhere else in Italy.
