Kurtas for lectures, libraries and porticoes
Bologna is a walking city, with long porticoed streets and a large student population, so everyday clothes need to work from a morning lecture to an evening out. A cotton or cambric kurta over straight trousers or jeans, a relaxed co-ord, or a short kurta with side slits all fit that life. Tell us on the quote form how you spend your day, and the length and sleeve can be suggested to match.
The weather asks for two weights: lawn and fine cotton for hot, humid summers, and khaddar or a lined cambric for cold, foggy winters. If you have no fabric yet, Fabric + Stitching means we supply it.
Measuring in a shared flat
You do not need to visit anyone to be measured. Ask a flatmate to help, wear thin clothes and follow our measuring guide step by step, then enter the numbers in centimetres using the size guide. Inches are fine too if that is what your tape shows; just say which you used.
If you are sending your own fabric, contact us with photos first. Once we confirm it, post it to Pakistan by a tracked service with an accurate customs declaration; the finished outfit comes to Bologna as a separate shipment.

Can I send fabric bought by the metre rather than a branded suit?
Yes, subject to fabric suitability and sufficient quantity. Plain cotton, lawn, linen or khaddar bought by the metre works well for kurtas and co-ords; send photos and tell us the length you have, and we confirm before you post anything.
Where do you send the finished outfit?
To the address in Italy you give when the order goes ahead. If you move between a term address and home, tell us before the outfit ships so it goes to the right place; shipping is confirmed in your written quote.
Can I order a Western piece instead of a kurta?
Yes. Dresses, skirts, tops and trousers are made to measure in the same way, and so are pieces that mix Western and South Asian shapes.
