Dressing for a Florentine summer
Florence sits in the Arno valley, ringed by hills, and summer heat settles in. Breathable fabric matters more than anything: a white cotton kurta, a lawn kameez cut loose through the body, or a linen co-ord with wide-leg trousers. Ask for a lining only where a pale fabric is sheer, and keep sleeves at elbow or three-quarter length, which suits both the sun and visits to churches that ask for covered shoulders. When the fabric is hard to find locally
If you cannot find the fabric you want in Florence, you do not have to. Choose Fabric + Stitching, describe the colour, weight and occasion, and the fabric is agreed with you in writing as part of the quote.
If you already have an unstitched pack from an online order, Stitching Only works too. Contact us with photos before you post it, so we can confirm the fabric and quantity; it then goes to Pakistan by a tracked service, and the finished outfit comes to Florence as a separate shipment.
Western pieces too
Not everything has to be South Asian. Custom stitching also covers dresses, skirts, tops and trousers cut to measure, and pieces such as a kurta-length shirt over linen trousers. Measurements are taken in centimetres or inches with the size guide, so there is no guessing between Italian and UK sizes.

Can you choose the fabric for me?
Yes. With Fabric + Stitching, tell us the colours, the occasion and whether you want something light for summer or warmer for winter, and the fabric is agreed in writing in your quote. You then send only your measurements, not fabric.
I am in Florence for a semester. Can the outfit reach me before I leave?
Tell us your leaving date when you ask for a quote. Production time and shipping are confirmed in writing before you commit, and if the date looks too tight, we say so.
