Eid and dawats in the Chilterns
Wycombe has long-established Pakistani and Kashmiri families, and Eid, dawats and weddings fill the calendar. For a dinner, a calf-length kameez with a band collar and detailed embroidery down the front looks dressed up without being heavy, and in winter it works well in karandi. For something simpler, keep the embroidery delicate, at the neckline or sleeves.
Red kites and cold valleys
The town sits in a valley of the Chiltern Hills, with red kites circling overhead and beech woods on the ridges. Winters in the valley are chilly and damp, so a lining and full sleeves are worth asking for, and khaddar comes into its own from November. A lawn kurta still has its moment in a warm July.

Yes. Adding a waistcoat is one of the changes you can choose on the quote form, along with the neckline, sleeves, kameez length, trousers, lining and embroidery level.
Is there anywhere in High Wycombe to see the fabric?
