Sending a suit from Derby
Derby is close to both Nottingham and Leicester, so an unstitched suit here might come from Belgrave Road in Leicester, from a brand’s UK website or from a relative’s suitcase after a trip to Pakistan. Before you post anything, send us daylight photos of every piece, with the lengths if the fabric was cut from a roll.
We confirm the fabric is suitable, that there is enough for your design and how to send it. With Stitching Only there are two separate shipping stages: your fabric goes to Pakistan, and the finished outfit comes to you. With Fabric + Stitching we supply the fabric, and only the outfit travels.
Practical pieces for the working week
Derby is an engineering city, home to Rolls-Royce and a long history of building trains, as well as the University of Derby. Whether your day is spent in an office, a lab or a lecture theatre, a plain kurta that washes well is worth having. Cotton, cambric and dobby cotton cope with regular washing, a straight kurta ending mid-thigh works with trousers, and pockets can be added in the side seams. Derby questions
Do you have a shop in Derby?
No. There is no shop or studio in Derby or anywhere else in the UK. You order online, and the outfit is made in Pakistan and delivered to your address.
Can you add pockets to a kurta for work?
Yes. Say in your notes that you want pockets, usually set into the side seams, and they are included in the design agreed in writing before cutting.
