No fabric to hand? We supply it
Plenty of people in Essen like the idea of a made-to-measure suit but have no unstitched fabric waiting in a cupboard. With Fabric + Stitching, you describe the colour, weight and feel you want and we share photos and a description of a suitable fabric with your quote. There are no free samples, and the fabric is only supplied as part of an outfit we stitch. Because the cloth is already in Pakistan, there is nothing for you to post, and the only parcel is the finished outfit coming to you.
Weekends by the lake, weekdays in town
A summer Sunday on the Baldeneysee or in the Grugapark calls for lawn or linen and a loose, breathable cut, such as an A-line kurta with three-quarter sleeves. For weekdays in Rüttenscheid or the city centre, or lectures at the University of Duisburg-Essen, a straight kurta with cigarette trousers works year round. Ruhr winters are damp and grey more than bitter, so a lined cambric or a light khaddar is usually warm enough.

Essen questions
Can you send me a piece of the fabric first?
We do not send free samples. Instead we share photos and a written description of the fabric with your quote, and you can ask questions before you approve it.
Is there anywhere in Essen I can be measured?
No. You measure yourself at home with the size guide, ideally with someone holding the tape, and enter the numbers in centimetres or inches on the quote form.
