A proper eastern winter
Frosty mornings are routine here from December to February, and a cotton kameez on its own will not do. Khaddar, karandi and marina are the Pakistani winter fabrics built for this, and a full lining keeps the wind off; our page on khaddar explains why it holds warmth. Ask for full sleeves that slide neatly under a coat and trousers with a little ease for a thermal layer, and note it on your quote request so the measurements allow for it.
Summer on the lakes
South of the city, flooded former mines have become swimming lakes such as the Cospudener See, and Leipzig summers are warm enough to enjoy them. Lawn is the obvious choice, cut a little loose. For lectures at the university or a day at the Messe, a straight kurta in plain cambric with cigarette trousers moves easily between the two.

Will a lined suit be too warm indoors?
German homes and offices are well heated, so many people choose a lined cambric for indoor days and keep khaddar or karandi for outdoor events. Tell us how you will wear it and we suggest a fabric.
How long does making take?
Production takes 5 to 7 working days once your quote is approved and paid in full, or from when your fabric arrives for Stitching Only. Shipping to Leipzig is extra and varies.
