Two wardrobes for two seasons
Franconian winters are cold and crisp, so a lined marina or karandi suit with full sleeves is worth owning for December evenings among the market stalls. When summer arrives, the old town and the gardens along the Pegnitz stay warm into the evening, and a lawn kurta with elbow sleeves is far more comfortable. Spring and autumn sit between the two, which is where a mid-weight cambric earns its keep.
Something special for Eid and dinners
For an Eid gathering or a family dawat, an angrakha, with its wrap-over bodice and a fine border, is a natural choice; in velvet or marina it suits a winter evening, in lawn a summer one. If you want more embellishment, fancy work adds embroidery, lace or borders at the delicate, detailed or statement level, agreed with you before cutting. Students at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg may want the same look in a simpler, shorter kurta for everyday wear.
Sending fabric or letting us supply it
If you own an unstitched suit, send us photos before you post anything. When we have confirmed it is suitable and sufficient, you ship it to Pakistan with tracking and an honest customs declaration, and the finished outfit comes back as a second shipment. Can an angrakha be worn with a sharara?
Yes. Choose the trouser style on the quote form; a sharara, gharara, shalwar or slim trousers all suit an angrakha. The final design is agreed with you in writing.
