Everyday clothes for the Ruhr commute
Hours on a train or at a desk call for pieces that do not crease or cling. A short straight kurta with cigarette trousers is a good base: ask for full sleeves for the colder months, or a knee length if you prefer more coverage. A band-collar kurta with wide-leg trousers suits days that end at a family dinner, and if one of our designs is close to what you want, customisation adapts it. Students at TU Dortmund often want the simplest version of all, a short kurti that sits easily over jeans.
Rain more often than snow
Westphalia’s weather is changeable and wet rather than bitterly cold. Washable cambric and cotton blends cope with damp days, a lining adds warmth from October to March, and darker prints hide the splashes of a wet platform. Summer afternoons in the Westfalenpark are warm enough for lawn.
Sending a suit from Dortmund
If you already own an unstitched suit, our Stitching Only service turns it into a finished outfit. Photos come first; only once we have confirmed the fabric and the quantity, and agreed how it travels, do you post it to Pakistan with tracking and an accurate customs declaration. Making starts when it reaches us and the quote is paid, and takes 5 to 7 working days before the outfit is shipped back separately. Dortmund questions
Can I order a single kurta?
Yes. Our minimum order is one suit, and single-piece custom orders are welcome, so one kurta made to your measurements is a normal order.
Do I need a German address for the quote?
Only your city is needed when you first enquire. The full delivery address is collected once the order goes ahead.
