From the Striezelmarkt to the Elbe meadows
December in Dresden means the Striezelmarkt, one of Germany’s oldest Christmas markets, and an evening there is cold enough to need real warmth: a lined karandi or marina suit with full sleeves under a long coat. Summer is a different city, with warm days in the valley when lawn or linen feels right. A wardrobe with one of each covers most of the year, and a mid-weight cambric fills the gap in spring.
Campus, labs and office days
TU Dresden is one of Germany’s largest technical universities, and the city has a strong research and engineering scene. Practical clothes win: a straight kameez in washable cotton, cigarette trousers, and sleeves that stay out of the way. A plain straight kameez three-piece is a sensible starting point: drop the dupatta for everyday wear, or add a lining for winter. If one of our designs is nearly right, customisation lets you change the details.
When Eid falls in the cold months
Eid has been arriving in late winter and early spring, so a festive outfit in Dresden often needs to be warm as well. Velvet or a lined khaddar takes embroidery at the neckline and sleeves well. Tell us your date when you request a quote: making takes 5 to 7 working days after payment, and shipping is added on top. Can I send an unstitched suit from Dresden?
Yes, after we have confirmed it. Send daylight photos of every piece first; once we agree the fabric is suitable and sufficient, you post it to Pakistan by a tracked service and we stitch it when it arrives.
Do you have anyone in Dresden who can measure me?
