Leave the kurta unlined, pick elbow sleeves, and ask for a little extra ease through the body so air can move. For winter, a cambric or linen suit with a light lining usually covers it; heavy khaddar is rarely needed here.

It can be. Ask for a light lining, choose a print rather than a pale solid, or pick cambric, which has more body.
Is there a store in Charlotte where I can order in person?
