Derby parties and spring dresses
Not every made-to-measure order has to be a kameez. We also make Western pieces, so a dress for a Derby party, cut to your measurements, is a perfectly good request. Our tiered maxi dress in chiffon has a split band collar and full balloon sleeves, and a lining can be added if you want it less sheer. Or send a photo of the dress you have in mind through Send Your Design, and we tell you what we can make from it.
Ohio River humidity, gray winters
Louisville summers are hot and humid, so lawn and voile suits with an easy cut make the most sense from June to September. Winters are cooler and often gray, with the occasional snow, and a lined cambric or khaddar kameez handles them. A full-sleeved cotton kurta is the dependable middle option for the University of Louisville campus or a downtown office.

Can you make a Western dress as well as a salwar kameez?
Yes. Dresses, skirts, tops and pants are made to measure too, from one of our designs or from a photo or description you send. Every detail is agreed in writing before cutting.
Do you deliver to Jeffersonville and New Albany in Indiana?
Yes. Those are US addresses, so the process and the written quote work exactly as they do in Kentucky.
