Dressing for a Washington office
Government, policy, law and embassy work all lean toward a tailored look. A kurta with a band collar or a neat round neckline, cut to hip or knee length over straight pants, sits comfortably under a blazer. DC summers are humid, winters bring cold spells and some snow, and spring and fall sit comfortably in between. A small wardrobe covers the whole year:
- Spring: pastel lawn and printed cotton, ready for cherry blossom season.
- Summer: unlined lawn with an easy fit for sticky afternoons on the National Mall.
- Fall: cambric and linen, with full sleeves.

Planning around Eid
Eid moves about eleven days earlier each year, so over time it lands in every season. If you are sending your own fabric, it travels to Pakistan and the finished outfit travels back to you separately, so give us your date on the quote form and start early; the Eid outfit timeline helps you plan. Production time and shipping costs are confirmed in your written quote.

FAQ
Washington, DC questions
Can you make kurtas suitable for a formal office?
Yes. Tell us the dress code in the design notes, choose a collar or a simple neckline, and give your preferred length in inches. A knee-length kurta with straight pants and a blazer is an easy starting point.
Do you ship to Maryland and Virginia as well as DC?
Yes. The finished outfit is shipped from Pakistan to your address anywhere in the DMV, and your written quote includes the shipping cost and any US import charges, so there is nothing extra to pay on delivery.
Do I need a tailor to take my measurements?
No, although a friend with a soft tape helps. Our size guide shows where each measurement is taken, and inches are fine.
