Months of heat
For most of the year, San Antonio calls for the lightest fabrics you can wear. Lawn, voile and fine cotton cut with a little ease, short or elbow sleeves and pale colors that reflect the sun work best. A short winter may bring a few cold mornings, when a cambric kurta with full sleeves is plenty.
Military moves and hospital shifts
Families on a military posting often move every few years, and ordering online means your tailor does not change with your address. Your first inquiry only needs your city, and the full shipping address is taken when the order goes ahead. Staff at the South Texas Medical Center on the northwest side often prefer washable cotton kurtas over straight pants for life outside work.
Embroidery for Eid, not for the heat
A heavy embellished suit is hard work on a hot evening. On the quote form you can choose delicate embroidery at the neckline or sleeves, detailed work at the neckline, sleeves and hem, or statement work for Eid and parties. Can you add lace to a cotton kurta?
Yes, as part of an outfit we are stitching for you. Lace, borders and embroidery are agreed in writing with the rest of the design, and what suits your fabric is confirmed in the quote.
