From Pioneer Boulevard to your measurements
Unstitched suits from Artesia’s shops, or from brands you order online, are exactly what our Stitching Only service is for. Photograph each piece in daylight and add your measurements in inches on the quote form. We confirm the fabric is suitable and enough for your design, and how to send it, before you ship anything to Pakistan by a tracked international service. The finished outfit then comes back to California as a separate shipment, and your quote includes delivery and any US import charges, so there is nothing extra to pay when the outfit arrives.
Light fabrics all year, a layer for the evening
With mild winters and long, dry summers, lawn, cotton and linen work in Los Angeles almost every month. Inland neighborhoods get properly hot, evenings near the coast turn cool quickly, and early summer often starts under a gray marine layer. A cotton kurta with full sleeves, or a dupatta to wrap around you when the sun goes down, covers both. Heavy khaddar and karandi are rarely needed here.

Los Angeles questions
Do you only stitch salwar kameez?
No. We also make kurtas, co-ords, casual party wear and Western pieces such as dresses, skirts, tops and pants, all for women and all made to measure.
Can you supply linen or cotton for me?
Yes. Choose Fabric + Stitching, tell us the color and feel you want, and the fabric is agreed with you in writing before cutting. Only the finished outfit then travels to Los Angeles.
Do you have a studio in LA?
No. There is no studio, store or appointment anywhere in the US. Everything is made in Pakistan and shipped to you, and your measurements, taken at home with our size guide, are agreed in writing before cutting.
