Deep cold outside, heat inside
From December to March, a Minneapolis outfit has to handle two climates: the deep cold outdoors and warm, dry heating inside. Downtown, the enclosed Skyway lets office workers walk between buildings without stepping outside, so the kameez itself should be comfortable indoors, with the parka doing the heavy work. Lake summers and the U of M
Summer is short but warm, and the lakes and parks fill up from June to August. Unlined lawn and cotton with elbow or three-quarter sleeves suit picnics, Eid gatherings and long evenings outside. Students at the University of Minnesota, whose main campus sits on both banks of the Mississippi, need pieces for every season: cotton kurtas over straight pants in the warm months, and a lined khaddar kameez once the snow arrives.

With Stitching Only, send photos of each piece and your measurements in inches through the quote form first; we confirm the fabric is suitable, that there is enough for your design and how to send it. Your fabric then travels to Pakistan by a tracked international service, and the finished outfit comes back as a separate shipment; your quote includes delivery and any US import charges, so there is nothing extra to pay when the package arrives, and our United States page has the background. Do you have a store in Minneapolis or St. Paul?
No. There is no store, studio or address in Minnesota or anywhere else in the US. You order online, your measurements and design are agreed in writing before cutting, and the outfit is made in Pakistan and shipped to your address.
Can you supply the fabric for me?
Yes. Choose Fabric + Stitching, tell us the color, weight and occasion, and the fabric is agreed with you in writing. Only the finished outfit then travels to Minnesota.
