Fabrics for the swing between seasons
July and August are hot and humid along the Mississippi, so lawn and voile with an easy cut are the summer staples. By January it can be freezing, which calls for khaddar or marina with a lining. In the short spring and fall, linen and cambric are the most useful weights, and a linen kurta over straight pants works almost anywhere.
WashU, SLU and the workday
If your day moves between a lecture at Washington University or Saint Louis University, a lab and an evening out, a linen co-ord with a buttoned placket is relaxed and smart at once. An angrakha with a wrap-over bodice suits a dinner or a wedding where you are a guest. Either can be made with the sleeves, length or lining you prefer.

We have no store, studio or measuring service in Missouri or Illinois. You order online, measure at home in inches using our size guide, and receive a written quote that lists the design, the fabric, the making time, shipping to St. Louis and any US import duties, taxes and fees. Nothing is cut until you have approved it and paid in full.

Can you stitch an Indian suit as well as a Pakistani one?
Yes. Indian dress material and Pakistani unstitched suits can both be stitched with Stitching Only, provided the fabric is suitable and there is enough. Send photos so we can confirm before you ship it.
Do you ship to the Illinois side of the river?
Yes. Belleville, Edwardsville and the rest of the Metro East are US addresses like any other, and shipping is included in your quote.
